Drindlefish is the first stand alone product produced by Soundmotion. It
is a result of the company's work in sheet music analytics
Primarily aimed at the print music market. It is a back end processing system which delivers a step change in how sheet music can be searched on and previewed. The company sees the output of the drindlefish process as a valuable sales tool for print music publishers and vendors for both hard goods and digital assets.
The Drindlefish algorithm automatically extracts musicological and instrument specific features from industry standard score formats. It can also extract representative bars from a title in the form of images that when scanned by the user, in a Search engine return page, will provide a summary of the full compass or technical range of the title. Larger summaries can be configured to suit customer requirements for "more inside" pages.
These summaries display all the salient information of the complete score to the sheet music consumer. Ultimately it will allow sheet music consumers to buy with increased confidence.
Drindlefish also allows sheet music vendors or publishers to connect their content more dynamically. It can compare titles within an asset corpus and connect content by similarity metrics - allowing venders to recommend titles to customers in highly configrable ways.
